THE MORNE TROIS PITONS NATIONAL PARK Roseau Located on the volcano of the island of Dominica, the “MorneTrois Pitons” is the national park of the island of Dominica, included in the Natural World Heritage list by UNESCO. Nestled in the heart of 6880 hectares of lush land, the “MorneTrois Pitons” is characterised by 3 peaks and rises to 1350 m of altitude, representing the culmination of the park that includes the 5 volcanos, the “Boiling Lake”, the 3 freshwater lakes, hot springs, not to mention 50 fumaroles. This is the park with the richest biodiversity in the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean. 13km from Roseau, hikes are possible. It takes 6 hours roundtrip to reach the summit. Accompanied by a guide you will climb a rock wall, walk in the middle of a dense forest and over steep terrain. A very difficult route of 7 km, which requires a good physical condition - from the summit, there is a spectacular panoramic view over the region. This site is quite simply fantastic!
