Polo was first played in the Barbados in 1884 making it a historic sport. It was suspended from 1929 until 1939 to return to the forefront in 1965.
After some 40 years of polo being played at the Barbados Polo Club, recent developments of three important additional polo facilities were brought to fruition in 2010 leading to increased frequentations and a promising future for this activity, extremely important for Barbados.
