The Maison du cacao is located in the heart of a former cocoa region. During a walk in the botanical garden, you will discover the origins of chocolate and the cultivation of the cocoa crop in its various stages of growth.

Originating on Guadeloupe in the 17^th century, the cultivation of cocoa has its roots in the heart of the history of this land. It reflects a history rich in tradition.

Your tour ends with an instructive explanation about the manufacture of the cocoa mass and a tasting of the chocolate of the islands 100% cocoa.
