Pointe à Pitre Pointe à Pitre Pointe-à-Pitre is located in the west of Grande Terre. The town is perfectly placed at the centre of Guadeloupe at the juncture between Grand Terre and Basse Terre. Built on marshland, it has won land from the sea. The town is low lying, situated alongside a mangrove.
