THE MURAT CHATEAU
On the Capesterre road, the Murat Chateau, also called the "Habitation Murat" was the largest sugar cane plantation in Guadeloupe.
Designed by Jeanne Laballe in the 19th century, the Murat chateau, has become an ecomuseum bringing together three centuries of the story of the sugar of Guadeloupe.
