Barbados is today, an important location for the major players of polo, where international competitions are organised each year on polo grounds which meet the highest of standards.
Polo is played on a large grass field, 300 yards long by 200 yards wide (275 m x 160 m) with a goal post at each end. There are four penalty lines on each side.
