The town of Roseau, capital of Dominica, is a skilful blend of colonial and modern architecture.
With an estimated population of 24,000 inhabitants, it is a small town surrounded by the Caribbean sea and the rivers Roseau River and Morne Bruce.
Buried at the heart of this ageless beauty, you will find there the Old Market Square where slaves were sold. On street corners, vendors sell fruit and vegetables of all kinds for immediate consumption, for shopaholics there are a multitude of shops and stalls.
Don’t forget to visit: the Cathedral of “Our Lady of FairHeaven”, the National museum, the Botanical garden with its 50 species of trees!
