Poisson Distillery Grand Bourg 2 km from Grand Bourg, the Poisson Distillery(PreLabat)produces one of the most famous rums of the Caribbean. Founded in 1860, Edouard Rameauimproved the process of rum preparation by using the same distillation process as used for cognac. Producing only 200,000 litres of 59 rum, per year, the Poisson distillery is one of the smallest in the world.
